Slide revisions

I thought maybe I'd create a posting where we can start to collect potential revisions to the slides. Please add your revisions as comments to this posting. gracias seƱores...

On slide 3 (CONTEXT), I think we should specifically identify each of the SITE subcontexts: sociocultural, informational, and technical for this learning instance.

I know that was a comment that I got back from Maria on my IM- the need to specifically use those exact terms in the deliverable.

Good suggestion. I missed this comment earlier when I sent the PPT. I will make some more revisions to this slide.

I was also wondering about Slide 2 and possibly Slide 5.

On our call Tuesday evening we discussed including a sectiion on other possible delivery systems that we had considered and rejected. The constraints and enablers of the alternative delivery methods are shown on Slides 16 through 19. I reviewed some of the example presentations from Blackboard and I noticed that they did not include any slides on alternate and rejected delivery systems. Do you think we should keep these slides? Or just mention the alternative methods we considered during the presentation but not show the slides? Or not mention them at all?

Katie - I agree. I had that feedback, too, and apparently I haven't learned my lesson.

Anne - what about those two slides were you wondering? I took slide 2 to be something we completed after we talked tomorrow and worked out who did what.

And for slide 5, from my standpoint I think we really need to get some comments from people in our target learner group. Even if they aren't potential truck divers, it would greatly add to the credibility of what we are building if we could get some confirmation that these are things worth teaching.

As to removing the constraints and enablers of alternative methods, I'm fine with that.

I looked back to the diagram I made for our Learning System/Environment, and although I am the proud author, it was done in a pretty hurried way. I'd like to find some better images for it than a guy on a laptop in an airplane, for instance. I'll poke around some more, but if anyone has something handy for it (printers, a server type system for the LMS, etc.), please don't hesitate to offer it.
